Synopsis:
Attraverso un’installazione temporanea della compagnia La Fura dels Baus sulla spiaggia di Barcellona, diversi volontari cercano di immedesimarsi nelle persone che attraversano il Mediterraneo a bordo di piccole imbarcazioni. Guidati dalla voce e dalla testimonianza di Soly Melamine, il viaggio viene raccontato da una prospettiva intima e sensoriale, trasformando una storia personale in una vicenda universale.

Through a temporary installation by La Fura dels Baus on Barcelona’s beach, several volunteers attempt to put themselves in the shoes of those who cross the Mediterranean in pateras (migrant small boats). Guided by the voice and testimony of Soly Melamine, the journey is described from an intimate and sensory perspective, turning a personal story into a universal one.

IL SUONO DEL LEGNO

In due borghi arbëreshe della Basilicata montana, Vincenzo Di Sanzo e Quirino Valvano modellano zampogne partendo dal legno dei boschi circostanti. Vincenzo è un costruttore e suonatore emergente e cerca nel legno il timbro perfetto con un orecchio quasi scientifico. Quirino ascolta in modo diverso: oltre al suono, dalla costruzione riemerge la storia stessa della sua comunità. Per entrambi, la musica rinnova il legame con il luogo che abitano.

In two Arbëreshë villages in the mountains of Basilicata, Vincenzo Di Sanzo and Quirino Valvano craft bagpipes from wood gathered in the surrounding forests. Vincenzo, a young maker and musician, searches for the perfect sound with an almost scientific ear. Quirino listens differently: through the making process, the history of his community resurfaces. For both, music renews their connection to the land they call home.

“There are no bad kids” Kyros Kayros is a community on the outskirts of Milan that hosts Morgan, Samu, Andy, Aziz, and Willy, who share their stories through fragments of their daily lives, bringing to the stage paths marked by difficult choices and unfulfilled desires. Their existences intertwine in a choral narrative, raw and unmediated. A carousel of stories and faces united by a common denominator: the limbo in which everyone seems to be suspended.

 

SAFOORA

Safoora è il nome di una donna leggendaria nella cultura rituale del Kurdistan Oramanata. Safoora era in realtà l’Anahita del suo tempo. Safura Khatun ha tramandato la tradizione secondo cui le donne del villaggio tengono una cerimonia ogni anno nel mese di Ordibehesht per guarire i malati e portare la pioggia.

Safoora is the name of a legendary woman in the ritual culture of the Kurdistan Oramanata. Safura was actually the Anahita of her time. Safura Khatun bequeathed that the women of the village hold a ceremony every year in the month of Ordibehesht to heal the sick and bring rain.
